Harmony IPL / AFT Photorejuvenation – Skin Rejuvenation
Now you can access all the advantages of clinically proven Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology for IPL Skin Treatments using Photorejuvenation - one of the most exciting procedures in aesthetic medicine. Our newest technology is called Advanced Florescence Technology or AFT, which safely delivers precise energy to the patient’s skin type at safer depths than previous IPL systems. Thanks to a smart, simple-to-use operation, Harmony AFT system makes it easy for you to provide your patients with non-ablative light-based treatments that offer a "no-downtime" procedure where patients can resume activities immediately.

Q: How does AFT (Advanced Florescence Technology) for photorejuvenation work? Q: What conditions can be treated? Q: Are patients satisfied with the results of this gentler, more delicate approach? Q: Some pigmented lesions have to be removed surgically, as they are potentially harmful. Can they be treated by AFT instead? Q: Can hairy pigmented lesions be treated?
A: Photorejuvenation uses a multi frequency (NON-ablative) laser pulsed on top of the skin to change the molecular structure and the appearance of aging skin below the surface, giving it a tighter and younger look. Since AFT is a broad spectrum of frequencies in one laser, it also stimulates the growth of collagen under the skin. Although tightening will be felt the day of treatment, the skin will actually improve more over time, up to six months after the last treatment. Fine lines and wrinkles will fade, and pores will reduce in size. Patients with facial veins should see immediate results the day of treatment. The veins are shut down, which means they will turn from red to gray, and then slowly fade away. Sun spots will turn to small dark dots, which fall off within days. Patients with rosacea or red cheeks should see results after the first treatment. The skin will start to regain its normal color, however the full series of treatments must be completed or it will return.
A: AFT (photo-rejuvenation) will reduce wrinkles, reduce pore size, remove sun spots (face, chest, neck, hands etc...), remove sun damage, remove facial veins, reduce spider veins (legs etc), reduce skin redness/rose colored cheeks (rosacea).
A: AFT Skin Treatments using Photorejuvenation are recognized for a very high measure of patient satisfaction. Patients are very pleased with treatment results because the process treats the full face, neck, chest or hands, rather than addressing a single isolated area or imperfection. With a series of treatments, AFT technology can help restore a more youthful appearance without patient downtime or a prolonged recovery necessary after other types of treatments.
A: Technically, it is possible to treat such pigmented lesions with AFT and diminish their brown color. However, doing so does not affect the pre-malignant cells; it only obscures them and delays the diagnosis. It is therefore essential prior to AFT treatment of any suspect pigmented lesion to consult a dermatologist.
A: Yes, it is possible to treat this type of lesion with AFT, due to the versatility of filters. AFT with longer filters can penetrate deeper than AFT with short filters. Thus, a shorter filter may be used to treat the superficial (epidermal) pigmented lesion and take care of the excessive pigment, whereas a longer filter may be applied for the hair removal.
